Itinerary:
My Egypt Travel invites you to spend a magical night in the ancient city of Luxor, arranging this comprehensive 2-day bus tour from Hurghada to visit all its major attractions.
Day 1: Hurghada to Luxor, East Bank and Sound & Light Show
Early morning departure from your hotel in Hurghada via air-conditioned bus for the long drive to Luxor.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Your tour begins on the East Bank with a visit to Karnak Temple. Although badly ruined, no site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man, representing the combined achievement of many generations of builders. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples.
Next, visit the Temple of Luxor, the center of the important festival of Opet, built largely by Amenhotep III and Ramesses II.
In the evening, enjoy the spectacular Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple. The show starts with a historical introduction covering the birth of Thebes and the erection of the temple, narrating the glorious achievements of great Pharaohs.
Overnight accommodation in Luxor.
Day 2: West Bank, Horse Carriage Ride and Return to Hurghada
After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to the West Bank.
Visit the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty. Here you will see tombs (including that of Ramses II and possibly Tutankhamun, if open for visitors).
Continue to Hatshepsut Temple. See the spectacular temple of the queen who would-be king, one of the best-preserved of its kind, built into the cliffs of the West Bank.
After the sightseeing, there will be time for a relaxing horse and carriage ride through the streets of Luxor before having lunch.
