Itinerary:

Day 1: Marsa Alam Travel, Giza & Sakkara

• You will be picked up from your hotel in Marsa Alam by private air-conditioned bus for the transfer to Cairo.

• Upon arrival, your tour begins at the Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza. You will see the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), the only surviving “Wonder of the Ancient World,” and the mysterious Sphinx.

• Next, you will drive to the Sakkara necropolis to visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the 6-tier, 4-sided structure which is the earliest colossal stone building in Egypt.

• Check into your Cairo hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 2: GEM, Citadel, Religious Cairo, Khan el-Khalili & Return to Marsa Alam

• Check out after breakfast.

• Start the day at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Explore the history of Egypt through its vast collection, including the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamun.

• Continue to the Citadel of Salah el-Din, one of the world’s greatest monuments to medieval warfare, where you will also visit the magnificent Alabaster Mosque.

• Next, explore Coptic Cairo, home to some of the world’s oldest Christian and Jewish religious sites:

  • The Hanging Church (possibly the oldest Christian church in Egypt).

  • Church of St Sergius (Abu Serga) (where the Holy Family rested).

  • Ben Ezra Synagogue (Egypt’s oldest synagogue).

• Conclude the tour at Khan el-Khalili Bazaars. You will have free time to stroll through this famous shopping area and bargain for spices, local arts, crafts, and souvenirs.

• After concluding the tour, your private vehicle will commence the return drive back to your hotel in Marsa Alam.
