Itinerary:
Your My Egypt Travel representative will pick you up from your El-Alamein hotel. You will be transferred by a private air-conditioned vehicle to the Cairo/Giza area, approximately 2.5 hours. The tour begins by heading south to visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. Learn how Memphis was a center of rule and culture for over 3,000 years, renowned for its great architectural achievements, and believed to have been the largest city in the world around 2250 BC. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then, the tour proceeds to Dahshur, located about 10 kilometers south of Saqqara. Here, you will visit the 4th Dynasty experimental pyramids: the unique Bent Pyramid and the imposing Red Pyramid (the world’s first true smooth-sided pyramid). After exploring these significant historical sites, you will be transferred back to your hotel in El-Alamein.
