You will begin with an early morning pick-up from your Marsa Alam hotel by private air-conditioned bus for the transfer to Cairo.
Following your arrival in Cairo, your Egyptologist private guide will introduce you to the history of the pyramids. You will visit the Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza. You will have time to enter one of the pyramids (additional cost), but your guide is not permitted to escort you inside. A short drive across the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the enigmatic Sphinx.
Your tour continues to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Here you will explore the history of Egypt through its vast collection, with the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamun being the main highlight. His six gilded coffins and magnificent death mask are the star attractions.
Continuing to Khan El Khalili bazaar, you’ll enjoy free time to stroll through the maze of streets and bargain for a souvenir of your trip. You will also have the chance to visit a Papyrus Institute to see how the famous artwork is made before driving back to Marsa Alam.
