Five days, three cities, one domestic flight. This tour covers the Pyramids, the Mediterranean, and the biggest temple complex in Egypt. It’s the middle ground between a quick Cairo stop and a full Nile cruise.
You get one day in Alexandria and two days in Luxor. Both are worth more time, but this itinerary fits into a work week. If you have 7-8 days, consider the Cairo + Nile Cruise version instead — it covers Luxor and Aswan at a slower pace.

Day 5 — Cairo. Citadel of Saladin in the morning. Old Cairo (Coptic Cairo) — Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue. Lunch. Then Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Drop-off at Cairo airport for departure.

Honest notes
Day 2 (Alexandria) is a long day. 2.5 hours each way in a car. If you get carsick, take something before you leave. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina closes on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays. If your tour lands on one of those days, we swap it for the Royal Jewelry Museum or the Alexandria National Museum.
The Valley of the Kings tombs are hot inside — 30°C even in winter. Bring water and go early.
On Day 3, the morning flight from Cairo fills up fast in October-April. Book at least 6 weeks ahead. If the 6:30 AM is full, we book 7:15 AM and adjust Karnak to the afternoon.
You stay one night in Luxor. Pack a small bag for that night and leave your main suitcase at the Steigenberger Pyramids in Cairo. Luggage storage is free — just ask the front desk.
