Egypt offers excellent birdwatching spots, especially along the Nile River, in the wetlands of Lake Qarun (Faiyum), and Wadi El Rayan, as well as in the northern delta region and the Eastern Desert oases. Ras Mohammed National Park near Sharm El Sheikh and Lake Nasser in southern Egypt are also highly recommended, attracting many migratory and resident species. Guided tours are available, and the best seasons are autumn and spring, when birds are migrating.
