The honeymoon suite on the Farah Nile Cruise is limited — 2-3 per ship. Book 5-6 months ahead for the best selection. Flight prices also change — booked 3+ months out, all flights total about $350-450 per person. Last-minute (under 3 weeks), they can reach $800-1,000 per person.

Honest notes

Day 8 is a heavy travel day. Abu Simbel early morning (4 AM wake-up), back to Aswan by 10 AM, disembark, fly Aswan → Cairo → Hurghada, check in at Pure Lifestyle. You arrive at the resort in the late afternoon. It’s a long day. Day 9 is the full recovery day at the beach.

Abu Simbel is optional. It’s included in the $3,200 price by default, but if you’d rather skip the 4 AM wake-up, we can remove it and refund the difference ($350-400 per person). Tell us at booking.

The Farah Nile Cruise is not a luxury yacht. It’s a 5-star Nile cruise ship. The honeymoon suite is bigger but still a ship cabin. Dining is at fixed times. The pool is small. If you want a luxury small-ship experience, ask about our Dahabiya honeymoon option (9 days, $2,999 — separate tour).

Drinks on the cruise are extra. Full board covers food only. Buy a bottle of champagne or wine at Cairo airport duty-free before you fly — much cheaper than on board.

Pure Lifestyle is adults-only (18+). No children anywhere on the property. If you’re traveling with kids, this is not the tour for you — book the 10-day Family Tour with Red Sea Aquapark instead.

The private felucca dinner in Cairo is weather-dependent. If it’s windy or the Nile is rough, we move the dinner indoors at a Nile-view restaurant. We tell you the day before.

Best time of year: October to April. December and February are the most popular honeymoon months — book 5-6 months ahead. Summer (May-September) is hot but cheaper. The ship and the resort have air-conditioning.

Who this is for

  • Honeymooners who want everything — Pyramids, Nile, Abu Simbel, Red Sea
  • Couples with 10+ days who want a flagship experience
  • Anyone who wants an adults-only resort at the end to relax
  • Couples who don’t mind one long travel day (Day 8) for a big payoff

Who this is not for

  • Couples with less than 10 days (book the 7-day or 5-day honeymoon)
  • Families with kids (Pure Lifestyle is adults-only)
  • Anyone who hates small-ship cruises
  • Budget travelers — this is the most expensive honeymoon on our site
Day 1 Cairo — Arrival, Welcome & Private Felucca Dinner

11:30 AM — Back on the ship. Lunch on board.

1:00 PM — Rest on your private balcony or the sundeck. The ship stays docked in Luxor.

Meals: Breakfast
Is this a private tour or a group tour? +

Private for the land portion — your own guide, your own vehicle, your own pace. On the Nile cruise, you're part of the ship's regular passengers for meals and shared facilities, but shore excursions are private. The honeymoon suite is private. The felucca dinners and beach dinner are private.

What's included in the honeymoon extras? +

Airport welcome with roses and cold towels. Rose petals and sparkling wine in all three rooms. Honeymoon suite on the Farah Nile Cruise with private balcony. Private felucca dinner on the Nile in Cairo. Private dinner on the ship's sundeck. Private felucca at sunset in Aswan. Couples massage (60 minutes). Private beach dinner at Pure Lifestyle. Daily fruit basket in the cruise cabin. Late checkout at all hotels (subject to availability).

Is Abu Simbel included in the $3,200 price? +

Yes, by default. If you'd rather skip the 4 AM wake-up, we can remove it and refund $350-400 per person. Tell us at booking. Most couples keep it — the temples are worth the early morning.

Is Steigenberger Pure Lifestyle really adults-only? +

Yes. 18+ only, no exceptions. No children anywhere on the property. If you're traveling with kids, this is not the tour for you — book the 10-day Family Tour with Red Sea Aquapark instead.

What does 'all-inclusive' mean at Pure Lifestyle? +

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main buffet. Drinks — soft drinks, local beer, wine, and spirits — included. À la carte restaurants (Mediterranean, Asian, International) included but require reservations. Imported spirits and champagne are extra.

Is Day 8 too long? +

Yes, it's the heaviest day of the trip. Abu Simbel early morning (3:30 AM wake-up), two flights, resort check-in in the late afternoon. But Day 9 is the full recovery day at the beach. This is the trade-off for combining Abu Simbel and the Red Sea in one trip.

Is the Farah Nile Cruise honeymoon suite really private on the balcony? +

The balcony is private to your cabin — no one else has access. It's a small outdoor space (about 4 square meters) with two chairs and a small table. Cabins on either side have their own balconies, so you can see them if you look over the rail — but they can't see you unless you stand at the edge.

Is the honeymoon suite limited on the cruise? +

Yes. The Farah Nile Cruise has 2-3 honeymoon suites per sailing. Book 5-6 months ahead for the best selection, especially for October-April. If the suite is not available on your dates, we book the next-best cabin (larger standard with balcony) and refund the difference.

Are the flights included in the $3,200 price? +

Yes. Four economy flights on EgyptAir: Cairo→Luxor, Aswan→Hurghada (via Cairo), Hurghada→Cairo, plus the Abu Simbel round-trip. But flight prices change. Booked 3+ months out, all flights total about $350-450 per person. Last-minute (under 3 weeks), they can reach $800-1,000 per person. We'll quote you the exact price before confirming.

Is the private felucca dinner in Cairo really private? +

Yes. Just the two of you, the captain, and a server. The felucca is not shared with other passengers. Menu is mezze, grilled fish or chicken, dessert, and a bottle of wine. 2 hours. If the weather is windy, we move the dinner indoors at a Nile-view restaurant — we tell you the day before.

Can we skip sites if we want more downtime? +

Yes. Your guide adjusts the pace. If you'd rather stay on the ship than visit a temple, we cancel it and you stay. No penalties. Tell your guide the night before.

Is the hot air balloon worth it? +

Yes, if you're okay with a 4:30 AM wake-up. Sunrise flight over the West Bank — you see the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple, and the Nile from above. $120-150 per person. Most couples do it on Day 5.

What's the best time of year for a honeymoon in Egypt? +

October to April. December and February are the most popular honeymoon months — book 5-6 months ahead. Summer (May-September) is hot but cheaper, and the ship and resort have air-conditioning.

How much should I tip? +

Budget $10-15 per person per day for the guide and driver. On the cruise, tip the crew $5-8 per person per day (pooled at the end). At Pure Lifestyle, tipping is pooled at the end of your stay — $10-15 per person per day. Tips are not included in the price.
