My Egypt Travel offers this comprehensive full-day discovery tour, traveling by private bus from Aswan to Luxor to witness the highlights of Upper Egypt’s ancient capital. You will be accompanied by a qualified Egyptologist guide throughout the entire long journey and sightseeing.

Early morning departure from your Aswan hotel or cruise ship via private, air-conditioned bus for the scenic drive to Luxor.

Upon arrival in Luxor, your discovery tour begins on the West Bank, the necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes. You’ll step back into Egypt’s ancient history at the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of the kings of Thebes (ancient Luxor). Guides are not permitted inside the tombs, but your guide will brief you on what to look for inside the elaborately decorated rooms. If you wish to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun, an additional cost is payable direct.

Leaving the Valley of the Kings, you will visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, the famous female ruler of Egypt who posed as a male to gain the throne. Finally, there will be time for a brief photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, which marks the site of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.

Following a delicious lunch, you will discover the East Bank, exploring the colossal Karnak Temple and the beautiful Luxor Temple.

In the late afternoon/evening, you will begin the return journey back to Aswan via private bus.
