Itinerary:

My Egypt Travel invites you to embark on an unforgettable overnight journey to the peak of Moses’ Mountain, retracing the footsteps of history to witness a breathtaking Sinai sunrise.

The Ascent (Overnight)

• You will be picked up from your hotel in Dahab in the late evening/night by an air-conditioned vehicle.
• You will travel to the base of Mount Sinai (Moses’ Mountain), where your private guide will meet you and accompany you on the ascent.
• The night hike is timed perfectly to reach the summit before dawn. Note that the climb requires a reasonable level of fitness, and there are approximately 500 steps at the very summit.

Sunrise & Descent

• At the peak, you will watch the sunrise over the Sinai Mountains—a truly spectacular and spiritual experience.
• After enjoying the views, you will begin your descent down the mountain (the path is not too steep).

St. Catherine’s Monastery Visit

• On your journey back down, you will stop at St. Catherine’s Monastery, which was built between 527 and 565 A.D.
• The monastery is believed to have been built around the site of Moses’ Burning Bush.
• During your visit, you will tour the chapel of a Greek Orthodox church to see famous icons and the majestic Mosaic of Transfiguration.
• Following the monastery visit, you will transfer back to your hotel in Dahab.
