Itinerary:

My Egypt Travel offers this comprehensive two-day private discovery tour of Cairo and Giza, starting with convenient flights and transfers from Dahab.

 

Day 1: Dahab to Cairo, Saqqara, Memphis, and Giza Pyramids (No Change)

Your representative will pick you up from your hotel in Dahab and transfer you to Sharm Airport for your flight to Cairo (CAI). Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted by your private Egyptologist guide.

The tour begins by visiting Saqqara, one of the most extensive necropoleis for the Ancient Egyptian Capital, Memphis. You will admire the world-famous Step Pyramid of Djoser, the Teti Pyramid, and various Mastabas and tombs.

Next, transfer to Memphis to visit the colossal statue of Ramses II and the nearby half-buried Hathor Temple.

The focus then shifts to Giza to discover one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the exquisite Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. You will also visit the magnificent Sphinx and the Valley Temple of the Pyramid of Chephren.

Lunch will be included during the tour. Later on, you will be transferred to your hotel for free time at leisure, with overnight accommodation in Cairo.

 

Day 2: GEM, Citadel, Coptic Cairo, Khan El Khalili, and Return to Dahab (Updated)

You will be escorted by your qualified English-speaking guide to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which houses the complete artifacts from Egypt’s Pharaonic period, including the fabulous treasures of King Tutankhamen.

Proceeding to visit one of the most famous tourist attractions in Cairo, the Citadel of Saladin and the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, modeled after the Yeni Mosque in Istanbul. Then, explore the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo, including the most famous and oldest Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt.

In the afternoon, enjoy shopping at the largest 13th-century covered oriental market, the fascinating Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

Finally, you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport (CAI) to fly back to Sharm El Sheikh (SSH), where you will be met and transferred back to your hotel in Dahab.
